As I was scrolling through Twitter today, a certain hashtag caught my attention. The hashtag #CrimingWhileWhite is a response to all the recent events and the disparities between races when it comes to police response. While scrolling through some of the stories of people who got away with doing illegal things, I was amazed that they had the courage to tell us this. It’s the beginning of change. There is something enlightening about these stories, and it is what we do with them that will pave the way to a brighter future. The solution to the problem starts with a generation that does not excuse what recently occurred.
