Every time I come to Monteria, I ask (plead, beg, cry) to go to Villa Melissa. The villa lies on a beach known as Coveñas and it’s been the same ever since I was little. My cousin’s half sister had to get her fifteens pictures taken so we tagged along.
Thank God for cars because it’s two hours away.
Enclosed by twin rocks, the beach is perfect. The amount of bugs however, is not.
The birthday girl was not amused by the amount of bugs or the fact that her photographer was three hours late and left his battery afterwards.
At least our little table had shade and power as we waited (three hours) for our breakfast.
I honestly don’t know how my uncle was able to eat that soup.
